Devon boat trips - destinations

A boat trip on its own isn’t much good if you don’t have amazing coastal destinations to visit! Fortunately we are blessed with some stunning and historic locations along the South coast of Great Britain. “Lunasea” is based in Torquay marina, the heart of the English Riviera in Devon. A popular seaside resort since the Victorian era, it has remained one of the most popular holiday destinations with families ever since.

The English Riviera is also a UNESCO Global Geopark. One of only two “urban” Geoparks in the United Kingdom, Torbay was granted this status because of its natural environment and stunning geology.

So why not join us for an amazing boat trip in one of the best locations in the United Kingdom?

Brixham

A hilly coastal town steeped in history.  Built around a picturesque natural harbour that provides anchorage for one of Englands largest remaining fishing fleets.  Breakwater beach boasts the clearest water in the bay.  Brixham hosts the annual Brixham Pirate festival early May Bank Holiday – a perfect boat trip if you can avoid the pirates!

It’s a favourite holiday destination.  Moored off the back beach puts you right in the centre of the town with plenty of safe space for water sport activities.

Dartmouth

Well known for the Britannia Royal Naval College where the late Queen met Prince Philip.  The town centre oozes history with a good mix of boutique and independent shops.  Anchored in the mid stream moorings you have the superb view of Dartmouth to one side and Kingsweir, with its steam train, to the other.  Alternatively, take a trip down the river to visit Greenway, the home of world famous author, Agatha Christie.  A magical place.
